About The Position

Reporting to the Director of CFS Programs, this position is responsible for providing day-to-day operational leadership to Positive Pathways Program staff. This position is responsible for training and supporting staff. This position is also responsible for completing reports as required by funder and agency in a timely manner. This position is required to recruit and enroll participants to provide services as required. Ensure that all activities are aligned with the mission and business strategy of the agency, as well as aligned with the policy and procedures of the funding institution. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Director in any capacity as required with effective execution of detailed organizational plans and frameworks, ensuring that all business practices are conducted in a manner consistent with VOSELA. The incumbent is also responsible for providing collaborative leadership regarding program funding aimed at securing the program’s financial viability and sustainability, ensuring the outcomes is achieved through effectiveness and efficiency of the program. The incumbent will maintain a small caseload (8-10) participants through the life of the grant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree level in social service field and/or five years’ experience working with youth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient computer skills in MS Office, Word, Excel and Access are required.
  • Requires the willingness to be responsive to the needs of the target population and the ability to function as part of the team.
  • Current driver’s license issued by state of residence
  • Current Vehicle Inspection decal
  • Current vehicle insurance
  • Current vehicle registration in state of residence
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history investigation
  • Be able to obtain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid certifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day operational leadership to staff within the designated program.
  • Ensure monthly reviews of financial statements are in order and the statements address budgetary compliance.
  • Recruit and enroll participants for the program and provide services as required.
  • Assist Director with developing and implementing policy and procedures aligned with agency and funding institution.
  • Ensures program is completed to a consistently high standard, within budget, that objectives are met on time, suiting VOASELA image and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with funding institutions.
  • Establishes short and long-term program objectives and ensures team members meet them.
  • Search for new funding opportunities grants. gov and other funding agencies.
  • Assigns tasks to team members to ensure project objectives are completed as required and communicates expectations to team members.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding program services or staff.
  • Ensure staff and program complies with the mission statement of VOASELA.
  • Conduct Bi- Monthly meetings with staff and provide support to staff recognizing their achievements and accomplishments.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with other agencies and communities served in 16 parish service area of VOASELA.
  • Assist resource development and community impact staff to ensure the effectiveness of grant applications and contractual relationships with government agencies.
  • Enroll and complete annual trainings as required by VOASELA and regulatory agencies.
