About The Position

The City of Sharonville is seeking a motivated and passionate part-time Program Coordinator to support and coordinate senior recreation programs at the Sharonville Community Center. If you are passionate about giving back to your community and growing professionally in the program coordination space, this is the job for you! Under the direction of the Recreation Program Manager, the part-time Program Coordinator will coordinate and support administrative operations and senior recreation programs and services. Primary responsibilities include enforcing compliance of policy and procedures related to programming; organizing, coordinating, and leading engaging senior programs and activities; actively communicating with staff and community center members. Candidates must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Current shifts vary, with a limit of 28 hours worked per week. Qualified candidates should demonstrate strong instructional, customer service, and communication skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with participants, families, and staff. About the Sharonville Community Center: The City of Sharonville prides itself on being a vibrant, close-knit community that strongly supports its residents, businesses and visitors. Sharonville has approximately 13,500 residents and, due in large part to its large diverse workforce, a daytime population that exceeds 40,000 - all of which the Sharonville Community Center serve. The center is a membership-based facility, located at 10990 Thornview Drive in historic Sharonville. The facilities are open to residents, business employees and non-residents. The center offers a variety of amenities; including, an aquatic center, indoor track, fitness center, double gymnasium, family game area, fitness aerobic classes, arts and crafts, youth athletic and camp programming and much more.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or passing of the General Education Development (GED) test; completion of secondary education preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of responsible experience in program coordination, preferably in a Recreation environment
  • A combination of additional education or professional experience and training may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading senior programs
  • CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
