About The Position

Join the Black Cultural Zone CDC as a Floating Coordinator! Are you a highly organized individual ready to drive the creation of strategic plans, manage critical documentation, and support the implementation of vital community and economic initiatives? The Black Cultural Zone Community Development Corporation (BCZ CDC) is seeking a Coordinator, Initiatives and Programs, providing specific coordination support to the Community Engagement and Economic Development team. The role's primary responsibilities include leading the creation and updating of all initiative briefs and implementation plans. This person will also be responsible for maintaining all program files and folders, gathering KPI information, and assisting with all program implementation tasks. This position is vital for advancing BCZ CDC's mission to unapologetically center Black arts, culture, and economics in East Oakland and to guide the organization toward sustainability and maximizing its mission impact. We are seeking someone who is connected to and has a love for the East Oakland community. Requirements

  • Education & Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in program coordination, project management, or a related field is required. A proven track record of successfully managing and coordinating multiple initiatives is also required.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in using various software applications, databases, and project management tools is required. Experience with data analysis and reporting, and familiarity with program evaluation is expected.
  • Abilities: Must have strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently manage time, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with stakeholders. Must be self-motivated and proactive, taking the lead in executing tasks and resolving challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled in meeting and group facilitation is a plus.
  • Experience with relevant software and tools for data management and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Program Documentation: Lead the creation and update of all initiative briefs and implementation plans to ensure project details and objectives are clearly outlined and accessible.
  • File and Folder Management: Maintain and organize all program files and folders (in Google Sheets and SmartSheets), ensuring documentation is consistently up-to-date and easily retrievable.
  • KPI Data Collection: Gather Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information from various teams and provide it to the central evaluation specialist for dashboard incorporation and reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide direct support to other program coordinators and assist with all program implementation tasks to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Logistics & Implementation: Provide logistical and on-the-ground support for all program initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and effective team coordination.
  • Meeting Management: Plan, prepare agendas, create presentations, and document meeting notes related to the role, taking a leadership role in attending external and internal meetings.
  • Reporting: Submit and upload agreed-upon proof of performance, outcomes, and evaluations, tracking activity on the calendar.
