About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Manager Leisure Services the Program Coordinator will plan, organize, coordinate and implement a variety of community, recreational, cultural and special events programs at community centers. Work Hours: This position will be expected to work a schedule necessary to accomplish City and departmental goals, including nights, weekends and /or holidays as required. Requirements

  • Associate degree in recreation, sports management, wellness or closely related field; one (1) year or related experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of West Virginia Drivers License

Responsibilities

  • Develop and organize special events for community centers
  • Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facilities in order to maintain discipline and ensure safety
  • Develop and distribute promotional materials as needed.
  • Evaluate recreation areas, facilities, and services in order to determine if they are producing desired results.
  • Collects activity and registration records and prepares routine and complex program plans and requirements well in advance for budgetary recommendations.
