The Program Coordinator will facilitate and manage life skills workshops, financial literacy programs, and therapeutic groups for the residents of Eastside Family Shelter and the men's shelter in Rosedale, MD. This role is crucial in ensuring that the residents receive the necessary support and resources to promote self-worth and personal responsibility. The Program Coordinator will manage HMIS activity and documentation to ensure that residents' participation in programming activities is tracked effectively. Under the umbrella of the Community Assistance Network (CAN), the mission is to provide a safe, clean, and supportive community that helps stabilize homeless men, women, children, and families. The Program Coordinator supports this mission by leading and coordinating providers for day program activities, recruiting outside providers for educational and life skills workshops, and building and maintaining positive working relationships with community partners. The role also involves managing the program calendar for programming from Monday through Friday, conducting orientations for new clients on shelter services, and acting as a liaison for residents and case managers as needed. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will maintain statistics of group attendance and outcomes, demonstrating highly developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, a pleasant demeanor, and a professional attitude. Flexibility is key in this role, as the Program Coordinator must be able to re-establish priorities and work plans to accommodate unanticipated changes in work volume. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines is essential. The Program Coordinator will also participate in the development and implementation of office goals and objectives, engage in community relations and fundraising activities as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. Documentation of residents' participation in programming activities in HMIS is also a critical responsibility.
