The Program Coordinator role is a part-time position focused on enhancing the quality of life for individuals, families, and senior citizens in affordable housing communities. This position involves providing CORES certified resident services, creating and implementing developmental activities, and fostering community engagement through various programs. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate leader dedicated to social and economic change, working independently to support the community's needs.

  • Serve as a link between PRS and the affordable housing community, maintaining professional relationships.
  • Create and implement a monthly calendar of developmental activities and essential resources for residents.
  • Oversee donations, resident engagement, and volunteer efforts.
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere to all residents and serve as the initial point of contact at the community center.
  • Prepare reports based on activity participation and program hours offered each month.
  • Design and post monthly calendars and flyers to advertise activities and programs.
  • Distribute information door-to-door throughout the property.
  • Recruit volunteers and solicit donations while collaborating with community partners.
  • Log communications with volunteers and community partners regularly and submit monthly logs.
  • Provide information about local resources to residents and enlist their support for program planning.
  • Monitor and interact with children, adults, and seniors during activities.
  • Maintain sign-in sheets for each activity and program offering.
  • Manage petty cash and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Supervise the community center's use and maintain its cleanliness and organization.
  • Organize PRS binders and documents for property management and resident services personnel.
  • Must be available to work 2 days per week from 12-5pm (Monday-Friday).
  • Relevant experience in education, social work, non-profit, or a related field; volunteer experience is acceptable.
  • Experience working with children, teens, adults, and/or senior citizens.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational, computer, and administrative skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with community and social service resources.
  • Must have a home computer, access to email, and capability for light printing.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality with a heart for the community.
  • Self-starter who thrives in an independent environment.
  • Resourceful and quick learner.
