The Program Coordinator at California State University, Fullerton is responsible for overseeing the BSN Stipend Program and other initiatives within the School of Nursing. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing resources to ensure program objectives are met. The coordinator collaborates with various stakeholders to create a positive environment and is tasked with developing marketing materials, managing stipend applications, and tracking compliance and distributions.

  • Develop marketing materials to advertise the BSN Stipend Program.
  • Create a system for applicants to apply for stipends using advanced computer skills.
  • Receive and review all stipend applications.
  • Select and notify potential recipients based on pre-established criteria.
  • Distribute contracts to identified recipients and track responses.
  • Notify Student Financial Services of final selections for stipends.
  • Track stipend distributions and keep recipients informed.
  • Monitor recipients throughout their RN-BSN program for satisfactory performance.
  • Ensure recipients graduate satisfactorily from the program.
  • Track job acceptances in a healthcare agency in Orange County within six months of graduation.
  • Confirm that all recipients are employed as Registered Nurses in Orange County for one year post-employment.
  • Close out stipend obligations at the end of one year if requirements are met.
  • Notify recipients to start repayment processes if contract requirements are not met.
  • Maintain records and statistics related to the RN-BSN Stipend Program.
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations of the program with recipients and stakeholders.
  • Develop reports for the funding organization.
  • Interface with the funding organization as required.
  • Maintain relationships with key staff and leaders involved with the Stipend Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Previous experience in program coordination, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience in nonprofit, education, or healthcare sectors is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with data management and reporting tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Education, Health Profession, Social Sciences).
