About The Position

The Program Coordinator for Trauma Programs at the American College of Surgeons is responsible for implementing daily activities and operations of the Trauma Verification, Review, and Consultation (VRC) Program. This role involves interacting with various stakeholders, including customers and hospitals, to ensure quality standards and compliance requirements are met. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a professional office environment, including project coordination, administrative support, and/or customer service.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day operations of the Trauma VRC Program.
  • Manage a portfolio of centers/sites pertaining to pre and/or post-site visit processes.
  • Validate information submitted in pre-review questionnaires.
  • Review assessments for completeness and adherence to guidelines.
  • Facilitate and track assessments through the review process.
  • Generate final reports or corrective action reports as necessary.
  • Provide timely and professional customer service for the Trauma VRC Program.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Trauma VRC Program.
  • Communicate program announcements and updates, including proofreading and editing content.
  • Monitor quality of processes and compliance with program standards.
  • Collaborate with the VRC team to identify common issues and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in the assessment of constituent surveys to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide support to VRC reviewers, committee chairs, and staff leadership.
  • Create meeting minutes and draft VRC communications.
