The Program Coordinator for the Simulation and Integrative Learning Institute at the University of Illinois Chicago plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing simulation projects within medical education. This position involves training staff, maintaining simulation equipment, and ensuring the effective implementation of simulation programs to enhance educational outcomes.

  • Manage, conduct implementation, and supervise simulation projects.
  • Assess projects for effectiveness and provide guidance and suggestions.
  • Debrief staff, students, and faculty after simulation exercises.
  • Prepare and maintain high-fidelity mannequins and task trainers.
  • Recruit, select, and train skills instructors to demonstrate and assess clinical procedures.
  • Observe, evaluate, and review instructors' performance, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Work with client programs to prepare, program, and deploy technology-based simulation encounters.
  • Develop and maintain project proposals and invoices.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational tasks and ensure departmental training and development of staff.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One year of experience as a Simulation Operations Specialist or in a related simulation role.
  • Current CHSOS Certification preferred.
