The NYC Department of Design and Construction's Division of Infrastructure is currently searching for a Program Coordinator to join the Program Management (PM) Unit. Successful candidate will report to the Associate Commissioner and will monitor the progress of key initiatives like the Southeast Queens Initiative and the Pedestrian Ramps Program. This role involves collaboration with two Assistant Commissioners and twelve individual teams handling special assignments as needed. Essential duties also encompass tracking the agency's annual commitment plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), preparing presentations and materials for staff and interagency meetings, generating reports, and addressing inquiries from the Commissioner's Office, Legal Department, Public Affairs, and City Hall. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will compose replies to external communications for the Associate Commissioner's approval, manage special tasks for executive staff as directed by the Associate Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners, and develop a project tracking and reporting system. The role requires effective collaboration with executive staff and supporting the Division Administrative Officer (DAO) in gathering and disseminating information pertinent to Program Management's staff. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for crafting and distributing emails and announcements on behalf of the DAO when necessary.

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in a relevant field and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in specified areas.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in specified areas, including 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Robust data analytics capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of pertinent computer applications and data systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Knowledge relevant to infrastructure work (i.e., roadway, sewer, and/or water main).
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility.
  • Potential for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
