About The Position

-- PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Outreach Services as the Program Coordinator at the PATH West LA office. ABOUT PATH Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. ABOUT THE JOB As part of the Outreach Services , the Program Coordinator will work to coordinate with the Program Manager and the LAX outreach team to coordinate with LAX, all airlines and organizations in and around LAX establishing outreach reporting systems and develop tools to assess the effectiveness of PATH’s outreach efforts.

  • One (1) year of experience in outreach, healthcare, case management, homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test Background Screening Drug Test
  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience in outreach, healthcare, case management, homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with LAX to develop strategies to increase awareness and implementation of reporting strategies among the LAX community.
  • Represent PATH at LAX, community and CES provider meetings.
  • Identify potentially underserved geographic areas/ locations and work with the outreach teams to engage and assess homeless individuals throughout the entire LAX area.
  • Actively work with the outreach team and LAHSA to identify hotspots and encampments to target for coordinated outreach outside of the LAX terminals.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager and Associate Director provide support in capacity building of outreach team through trainings or other learning opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation standards as set forth by the program contract and PATH policies, including maintaining compliance with HIPAA policies and practices
