About The Position

The Program Coordinator II works collaboratively with the Routh First-Generation staff to plan, develop, and implement programs and is responsible for promoting and reporting on first-generation student success initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting first-generation students and brings proven experience in career, leadership, and professional development programming. This job also includes working collaboratively with each college or academic success team and student support services to provide academic and additional support to undergraduate students. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of experience in student success, student development, or related work in higher education.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; Google Suite.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with COMPASS/Banner and HOWDY.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, Educational Technology, Adult Education, or related field.
  • Experience in developing or coordinating student retention programs.
  • Intermediate experience with data analysis in a higher education capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience with EAB Navigate or related student predictive analytics system.
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and work independently.
  • Ability to analyze data for retention and graduation success programming.
  • Knowledge of degree plans, programs, and/or evaluations.
  • Experience with educational technology platforms and tools such as Articulate 360/Rise, Adobe, Canva, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Program Coordination Creates, promotes, and delivers student success programs.
  • Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of programs, resources, and workshops for students and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates institution-wide student tracking efforts and collaborates with colleges/schools and departments to identify ways to make programs and services accessible to undergraduate students.
  • Utilizes various reports, instructor outreach, and other campus relationships to help identify students that need to reconnect.
  • Collaborates with colleges/schools and departments on student high-impact practices.
  • Creates a communication plan and timeline for students.
  • Assesses and reports student data and findings to respective University and college/school leaders.
  • Campus and Student Engagement Provides student support services to current undergraduate students, their families, university faculty, staff, administrators, and resource providers.
  • Monitors student progress and fosters retention of students through monitoring of student grades, mentoring, and other support programs.
  • Maintains notes on interaction with students in EAB Navigate Campus.
  • Utilizes COMPASS and HOWDY (Banner Systems) to support student success.
  • Data Assessment and Reporting Serves as a resource to colleges, schools, and student success teams.
  • Utilizes EAB Navigate to identify students who may need additional support and then works with the colleges, schools, and success teams.
  • Projects and monitors student data.
  • Prepares and completes reports related to student persistence and success.
  • Creates and distributes communication to colleges, schools, and success teams.
  • Administrative Provide support to other units within the Office of Student Success.
