The Program Coordinator II (Evaluation Coordinator) performs evaluation planning and implementation, as well as community engagement activities for the Rural Impact through Support and Evaluation (RISE) in Texas: Coordinating a Learning Community to Strengthen Mental Health and Well-Being in Rural and Border Communities project.

  • Program Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
  • Conducts community assessments to identify gaps in community organizing and evaluation skills.
  • Assists with establishing evaluation plans for Learning Community to Strengthen Mental Health and Well-Being in Rural and Border Communities project communities by planning and implementing meetings with community partners to identify outputs and outcomes for each community in addition to overarching short and long-term goals that will address desired initiative outcomes.
  • Identifies and assists in the development of appropriate evaluation measures and tools for use in data collection.
  • Assists in establishing and monitoring outputs and outcomes that will help evaluate the Learning Community to Strengthen Mental Health and Well-Being in Rural and Border Communities project initiative.
  • Oversees and assists with planning, developing, and implementing evaluation reporting activities in coordination with project PIs and community partners.
  • Attends routine project meetings and required training sessions.
  • Community Engagement/Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Works closely with Learning Community Coordinator to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Engages with project communities to plan, develop, and implement project evaluation efforts.
  • Coordinates with project team and the Hogg Foundation to plan annual grantee meetings.
  • Training and Technical Assistance
  • Develops training materials and delivers trainings related to evaluation and use of project reporting and tracking platforms.
  • Provides support and technical assistance to funded communities on evaluation data collection and reporting.
  • Expands knowledge and understanding of community organizing, capacity building, and evaluation in Learning Community to Strengthen Mental Health and Well-Being in Rural and Border Communities project communities through trainings.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Designs and maintains community data dashboards, monthly and quarterly reports, and other data sharing needs.
  • Maintains activity logs regarding RISE project activities.
  • Maintains transparency in reporting all project activities.
  • Monitors and reports community-specific milestones and achievements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of program coordination, community or external relations, or related experience.
  • MPH and/or DrPH or other doctoral level degree.
  • 4 years of experience in public/community/external relations or event planning.
  • Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES)
