About The Position

The Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) is looking for a Program Coordinator to work with toxicology faculty and trainees (MS, PhD, and postdoctoral) across campus, advise toxicology graduate students, and coordinate activities in support of the program. The position involves providing administrative support, coordinating seminars, facilitating student rotations, advising graduate students, recruiting trainees, and maintaining communication with faculty and students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of administrative experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plans daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities together with Program Chair, Vice-Chair and Executive Committee.
  • Works closely with VetMed business office on personnel and financial matters, including tracking expenses, managing budgets, preparing monthly budget reports, and overseeing trainee onboarding/offboarding.
  • Provides administrative support for the NIEHS Toxicology Training Grant (T32), including management support, preparation of annual reports, and tracking publications.
  • Coordinates Toxicology Seminar series, including contacting and inviting speakers and assisting with travel arrangements.
  • Oversees rotations and choice of final Pl laboratories for students.
  • Serves as Graduate student advisor, prepares official correspondence, assists in scheduling exams, and maintains student records.
  • Recruits masters, doctoral, and postdoctoral trainees into the interdisciplinary program.
  • Coordinates faculty participation in Toxicology Program activities and schedules meetings.
  • Maintains and updates Toxicology website and social media accounts.
  • Conducts program evaluation and outcomes assessment.
