About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the Addiction Sciences Division. The candidate will provide technical, administrative and professional services and will be responsible for supporting an NIH funded educational training program: Drug Abuse Research Training (DART). Strong coordinating, organizational and social skills needed. position is performed to accomplish the Research Investigator’s primary mission.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and two years relevant program experience.

  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
  • Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.

  • Knowledge of computer-based information systems desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program design, implementation and daily administrative activities for the DART program residents, as well as for the DART program for summer fellows. Coordinate purchasing and deliveries of all necessary supplies and services for program implementation. Assist trainees with conference travel and procurement functions.
  • Coordinate weekly lectures for residents and trainees. Help develop additional curriculum as needed, invite internal and external speakers to present or serve on panels, and advertise select seminars. Create announcements and distribute. Schedule other meetings (biannual evaluations, advisory board meetings, special events and speakers) as needed. Attend DART weekly lectures. Monitor resident attendance at weekly lectures
  • Lead the planning and coordination for the DART Summer Research Day mini-conference, including creating the program, advertising the meeting, helping set up posters and help arrange the keynote speaker. Provide directions and guidance to residents, faculty, staff and students concerning program issues. Represent DART and other research training programs across campus and respond to requests for information.
  • Track DART research and clinical activities of current and previous residents. Track research, clinical and academic activities of summer fellows. Develop tracking reports for grant renewals and reporting.
  • Assist with coordinating investigator’s weekly calendar, scheduling meetings and invited speakers as needed, as well as other coordination and administrative tasks (purchasing, event/meeting planning, seminar coordination).
  • Assists with program promotional content, managing website and social media pages.
  • Assist with other duties as needed.
