About The Position

The Program Coordinator I will assist the Department of Radiology Residency, Fellowship, and Medical Student Coordinators. This position will provide centralized support to create continuity for duties relating to departmental education programs and initiatives.

  • A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.

Responsibilities

  • General Support Provide educational and electronic support for overall Radiology education initiatives. Assist with the coordination of departmental ACGME residency and fellowship programs, application, interview, and orientation process. (Excludes Nuclear Medicine and Neuroradiology). Keep the following databases updated: House Staff Composite, MedHub Pages, The Box, ACGME case logs. And other tasks, such as arranging catering, conferences, tracking billing, and surveys.
  • Lectures. Diagnostic Radiology noon lectures are scheduled for nearly every weekday. Handle lecture scheduling, AV for each noon lecture including training faculty in use of equipment, processing videos for viewing, scheduling evaluations for each conference. In addition, manage the setup of RadPath/Journal Club, R1 and R2 case conferences and Lower Level/Upper-Level Call Prep lectures. AV assistance for weekly 7 am VIR lecture. Track and color code lecture attendance monthly.
  • Licensing Track and schedule license and certification renewals for department ACGME Residents. Keep track of all licensing. Manage upkeep of Medical License, DEA, DHEC, BLS, ACLS, Fit Testing, CITI certification, Nuclear Medicine Authorized User forms. Select BLS and ACLS classes for scheduling based on availability or individual residents. Schedule group Fit Testing events.
  • Clinical Competency Committee (CCC). Sending out SALP forms (and Mentor forms for 1st years). Updating individual resident dashboards with links for review twice a year by the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), keeping SALP form updated, tracking completion of all requirements, updating throughout the year when certain exams and tests are taken, pulling and/or linking documents prior to each CCC meeting (RadExam reports, lecture attendance, US logs, MedHub procedure logs, MedHub NAS milestone evaluation reports, SALPs, updated CVs, ABR Core Exam results, Reporting Quiz results, etc.) Setting up and create forms for individual meetings between PDs and residents to go over the results of the CCC meeting.
  • Newsletters and photography. All aspects of the creation and distribution of a quarterly Radiology Education Newsletter and Bi-Annual Radiology Alumni Newsletter. Serves as photographer at Education events (Graduation, Welcome Party, etc.).
  • Library. Keep library catalog updated. Check out books as requested. Track books that need to be returned. Maintain library in all ways (pull old books, repair books, solicit faculty for new texts, etc.) At the end of each year, pull up the book wish list and ask faculty from those divisions if they have any leftover funds we can use to order books.
