About The Position

The Program Coordinator for Car Seat Services will be an integral part of the Safety Center’s Clinical Services initiative, part of the Children’s Wisconsin Community Health and Education team. Our mission is to ensure children are healthy, safe, and able to thrive. The Program Coordinator will primarily support the hospital-based Car Seat Services initiatives, with a focus on health education/car seat education for patient families and hospital staff.

Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with high volume and high energy
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Human Services, Social Services, Public Health, Education, or a related field
• License Driver's License - State of Wisconsin

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with families from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide health and car seat education to patient families and hospital staff
• Manage distribution of appropriate car seats (basic & adaptive) to ensure safe discharge
• Coordinate program activities and ensure alignment with the work plan
• Facilitate educational training sessions for hospital staff
• Build and maintain relationships with families, staff, and community partners
• Document services provided in the patient medical record
