The Coordinator, Fine Arts will be responsible for planning, delivering, supervising and monitoring designed fine arts programs for assigned branch. This includes running and planning all aspects of assigned fine arts programs which may include Cheerleading, Gymnastics (tumbling) and Dance programs. The role also involves recruiting, developing, and coordinating volunteers and staff members within assigned programs, ensuring safety and compliance with YMCA standards.

  • Run and plan all aspects of assigned fine arts programs including Cheerleading, Gymnastics, and Dance.
  • Assist with recruiting, developing, and coordinating volunteers and staff members.
  • Ensure all program participants have appropriate registration, waivers, and payments.
  • Maintain safety of all participants and know emergency procedures.
  • Maintain positive rapport with participants and parents.
  • Represent YMCA in business and community groups.
  • Conduct programs in accordance with YMCA standards and guidelines.
  • Promote YMCA core values and character development in all program activities.
  • Notify supervisor of any problems relating to program outcomes.
  • Gather participant feedback through evaluations.
  • Be actively involved with members, volunteers, and staff.
  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and support association events and fundraising activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Supervise employees and monitor site operations.
  • Identify training needs and initiate development activities for supervisees.
  • Secure and maintain required trainings and certifications.
  • Ensure new employees complete orientation and training.
  • Notify Human Resource Department of job openings and assist in hiring.
  • Keep employees informed about association and branch events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • High school diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching cheerleading, tumbling, or gymnastics.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in staff supervision.
  • Sales or marketing experience is a plus.
  • Must attend all annual training.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid 1/USASF membership.
  • Must be certified Level 1 in Tumbling, Cheerleading, or gymnastics within 6 months of employment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft business software.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and opinions.
  • Willingness to report any signs of child abuse and neglect.
