Program Coordinator - Aquatics
About The Position
The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as an Aquatics Program Coordinator for the Twin Lakes Family YMCA. This role involves a multitude of administrative and supervisory duties supporting the aquatics department, requiring professional interaction with employees, management, members, and business associates. The Aquatics Coordinator will operate under the direction of the Aquatics Director, supporting the mission, purpose, and goals of the YMCA. The YMCA of Central Texas is a not-for-profit services Association dedicated to mission-driven initiatives, aiming to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities across 7 Texas Counties. The organization is the largest school-age child care provider in Williamson County and offers health and fitness programs to over 45,000 members, ranging from preschool through senior citizen.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, 6 college credit hours or 24 months of qualifying experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Drivers' License and valid insurance
- Lifeguard certification required
- Must pass reference checks, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender registry check
Nice To Haves
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or YMCA Lifeguard preferred
- Water Safety Instructor or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily operations of aquatics facility including supervision of staff and creating schedules
- Assist with opening and closing, attendance tracking
- Run in service training for the branch per association guidelines
- Ensure completion of all necessary reports and documents including incident and accident reports
- Actively and enthusiastically support the Branch and Association goals and direction through effective completion of tasks and actively promoting and operating programs
- Filling in as needed for lifeguard and/or swim instructor shifts
- Assure safe and secure facility
