We are pleased to announce the opening for a Program Control Analyst II who will join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The Program Control Analyst II is responsible for independently executing financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting for assigned programs. This position partners with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure sound program financial management throughout the program lifecycle. The role requires strong analytical capability, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders. This position is in office at our Huntsville, AL corporate office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 2 - 6 years of relevant experience in program controls, financial analysis, and government contracting, including support to Department of Defense or other federal programs/contracts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, pivot tables, analytical tools).
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Huntsville, AL corporate office.
  • Ability to obtain Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with a range of contract types including Cost-Plus, Time & Material, Firm Fixed Price, and IDIQ.
  • Experience with government contracting ERP accounting systems (Unanet experience strongly desired but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and process contract modifications; manage contract ceilings, expected funding, and analysis of funded and contract backlog.
  • Review, audit, and manage program and personnel assignments per project (e.g., labor categories, charge numbers, and project structures).
  • Assist with responses to funding requests and pricing drills (e.g., customer data calls, proposal inputs, and rate checks).
  • Lead development and maintenance of program budgets and spend plans consistent with contract funding and execution strategies.
  • Prepare and manage monthly financial forecasts and projections.
  • Perform detailed cost variance analysis across labor, travel, subcontract, and ODC categories.
  • Monitor program funding status and identify financial risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Support program startup activities and ensure appropriate financial structures and processes are in place.
  • Provide financial inputs to proposals and pricing activities as required.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship or guidance to junior staff as appropriate.
