About The Position

The position (K0224668) involves reviewing and approving applications for operator examinations, as well as operator renewals. The role includes issuing operator certificates and renewal certificates in accordance with regulatory requirements for work experience and education. Additionally, the position processes and tracks payments for operator exams, operator renewals, and wastewater permits. The position also serves as a database administrator for the operator certification database, managing records for certification renewal, testing, and training information, and analyzing data through complex queries. The individual will coordinate daily activities of the water and wastewater operator certification program, ensuring that public water supply systems and wastewater treatment facilities are supervised by appropriately certified operators. This includes interpreting statutes, regulations, and program policies regarding training and certification requirements to the public, including operators, elected officials, and private sector managers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Six months of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs.
