The Program Associate position is located in Silver Spring, MD, with no remote option available. This role involves performing administrative and secretarial responsibilities to support the manager and other staff members in a challenging and fast-paced work environment. The position requires handling duties of a confidential nature and working under general guidance and supervision. Responsibilities include communication and coordination with all levels of internal and external customers, receiving and screening calls, correspondence and/or visitors, making travel and meeting arrangements, and preparing correspondence, documents, and reports as needed.

  • Manage day-to-day administrative functions for designated Program such as organizing and maintaining department files and records, performing complex clerical duties and analytics, supply and equipment orders, etc.
  • Assist with all levels of internal and external customers, receive and screen calls, correspondence and/or visitors, make travel and meeting arrangements as needed.
  • Serve as a communication link to other CNHS departments, coordinate and schedule office appointments, meetings, and conferences.
  • Independently research, develop, and compose presentation materials and speeches in a variety of settings.
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; determine potential courses of action and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Routinely coordinate and facilitate solutions with internal and external organizations and constituents.
  • Maintain designated Program finances such as government reports, charge sheets, and contact with charge entry professionals.
  • Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance.
  • Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation.
  • Stop in the face of uncertainty and take time to resolve the situation.
  • Demonstrate accurate, clear, and timely verbal and written communication.
  • Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Attend carefully to important details - practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review in order to self-check behavior and performance.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1-year related experience (Required)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • 1-year experience with searching online databases (Preferred)
