Job Summary The position will serve as the Program and Career Coordinator for Think Beach and the inclusive Post-Secondary Education Program. This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations under the supervision of the Director of the Community Clinic for Counseling and Educational Services (CCCES).

  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field and two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, and a bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, School Psychology, Disability Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work or related field.
  • Experience supporting and advocating for/with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience with government funding systems.
  • Experience in leadership and administrative roles, including staff oversight.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and managing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the program including: recruit, select, train, schedule and supervise peer mentors.
  • Seek and develop on-campus and community-based internships and competitive integrated employment opportunities for Think Beach students and alumni.
  • Oversee graduate assistants in collecting quantitative and qualitative data on the Think Beach program, including nationally validated assessments [i.e., Self-Determination Inventory Report (SDI-SR) and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales.
