The Bureau of Mental Health (BMH) in New York City is dedicated to enhancing mental health and wellness for its residents while addressing long-standing societal disparities. The Program Analytics & Reporting Lead will play a crucial role in this mission by overseeing programmatic data activities, which include the development of data collection systems, reporting, and ad hoc data analysis. This position requires collaboration with program staff to identify business needs and translate them into quantifiable data requirements for effective data management systems. The lead will manage data within the Mental Health Maven Data System, ensuring data quality and initiating quality improvement projects to enhance programmatic data. Additionally, the role involves processing, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis, as well as maintaining technical documentation such as data reports and access rules. The Program Analytics & Reporting Lead will work closely with program leadership to develop indicators that track program performance and inform operations. This includes designing and executing data analysis projects using tools like SQL, SAS, or R to analyze program data from various sources. The lead will prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, responding promptly to ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders. An equity lens will be incorporated into all aspects of the work, and the lead will also supervise and mentor other research staff while managing multiple projects and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
