The Program Analyst position at the Department of Homeland Security involves safeguarding the American way of life by securing transportation infrastructure, including airports, seaports, and public transit systems.   • Assist with providing operational direction and analysis of productivity and effectiveness of strategies in implementing the airport security program.
  • Interpret new or amended regulations, policy modifications, and guidelines affecting airport security to inform executive and management decision makers.
  • Coordinate work with other departments or divisions and advise the Federal Security Director or Deputy Federal Security Director on organizational structure and work methods.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-F or GS-9 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
  • Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field directly related to this position, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
  • Combination of specialized experience and successfully completed graduate level education beyond the second year.
  • Experience in program evaluation and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of security services coordination.
