About The Position

The Program Analyst position at the Department of Homeland Security involves safeguarding the American way of life by securing transportation infrastructure, including airports, seaports, and public transit systems. Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-F or GS-9 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
• Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field directly related to this position, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
• Combination of specialized experience and successfully completed graduate level education beyond the second year.

• Experience in program evaluation and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of security services coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing operational direction and analysis of productivity and effectiveness of strategies in implementing the airport security program.
• Interpret new or amended regulations, policy modifications, and guidelines affecting airport security to inform executive and management decision makers.
• Coordinate work with other departments or divisions and advise the Federal Security Director or Deputy Federal Security Director on organizational structure and work methods.
