The Program Analyst (Health Informatics) position at the Ralph H.   • Support comprehension and adaptation to organizational updates through communication, education, and leadership.
  • Provide communication channels to clinical and business teams for deployment, sustainment, and optimization efforts.
  • Cultivate a healthy working relationship between the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) and Health Informatics.
  • Lead the coordinated use of subject matter experts to support decision-making among informatics functions.
  • Evaluate content quality and ensure access to knowledge resources, eliminating redundancy in duplicate data sources.
  • Apply statistical, machine learning, visualization, and inferencing techniques for decision support.
  • Develop reports and information tools using SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Enable healthcare capabilities and the evolution of technology related to the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Support thorough analysis of workflows to identify opportunities for improvement or optimization.
  • Ensure the VHA EHR operates to improve patient care and safety through continuous evaluation and improvement.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-09 level in the Federal service, including communication among stakeholders, applying established practices in healthcare delivery, and managing data life cycles.
  • Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with national database architecture and file structure.
  • Knowledge of health informatics applications and technologies.
