About The Position

The Program Aide position at the New York State Insurance Fund involves supporting various operational tasks, including managing deliveries, maintaining logs, and assisting departmental staff. The role is essential for ensuring smooth internal operations and effective communication within the organization.

Requirements

• Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title.
• One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Responsibilities

• Entering all receipts on receiving logs or in the computer upon receipt.
• Delivering supplies to various departments.
• Ensuring internal delivery verification sheets are signed and dated by staff.
• Receiving deliveries shipped via courier service, as well as single, bulk, and multiple item orders from vendors.
• Transporting deliveries to the supply room and mail room.
• Verifying the contents of deliveries received and contacting the purchasing department if there are any errors or damaged items.
• Sorting and distributing flats (3rd and 4th class mail).
• Aiding during staff shortages.
• Providing assistance to the Director of Property Services.
• Picking up Certified Mail from the post office as per scheduled rotation.
