Who we are The largest and most sophisticated team of its kind in the country, the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team (VET) provides medical support to urban search-and-rescue teams and resident animals in response to natural and manmade disasters at the request of the Texas A&M Task Force or county jurisdictions, while training future Aggie Veterinarians in emergency preparedness and response. What we want The Program Aide - Regional Leader will provide oversight of the volunteer program and participate in deployments as veterinarians and educational assistants. Assists with the educational efforts that are provided through the Veterinary Medical Emergency Management Clinical rotation, that is part of the required curriculum in the CVM. What you need to know Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience. Travel/Schedule: This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends and may require travel. Employee must be able to travel to natural disaster sites when the VET team is deployed. Please note: This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need.
