About The Position

This position is responsible for: Leads children and adult activities for camp programs, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, Bible study, computer programs and specialized programs; maintains the cleanliness of the recreational and outdoor activities areas.

Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• One to two years’ experience teaching child development programs, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Ability to pass all state licensing background checks.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Lifeguard Certification (preferred)
• Ropes Course Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides constant care for the needs of the children and adults in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure and healthy manner.
• Provides positive, relaxed atmosphere during educational and outdoor activities, and promotes encouraging conversation.
• Ensures the accountability, security and safety of guests participating in outdoor activities; reports all accidents to the supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
