About The Position

The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Mechanicsburg and New Cumberland, PA is seeking to hire a part time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more. While supporting people with disabilities, you build strong relationships while learning their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes. Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle during working hours
Punctual and reliable
Keep track of multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible and patient
Respectful, discreet with confidential information, and honest
Enjoy helping people

Responsibilities
