About The Position

We are seeking experienced Program Administrators to provide high-level administrative and programmatic support to the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and its government personnel. The Program Administrator will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations through expert handling of office administration, travel coordination, and support to financial and business processes. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with demonstrated experience in a fast-paced government environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and at least ten (10) years of experience providing administrative, business, and financial support, OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with government budgeting and financial tracking.
  • Proficiency with the Defense Travel System (DTS) and the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Department of the Navy or Department of Defense programs.
  • Familiarity with ONR policies, organizational structure, and operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ONR personnel, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, and records maintenance.
  • Coordinate all aspects of domestic and international travel using the Defense Travel System (DTS), including processing authorizations, vouchers, and resolving travel-related issues.
  • Support government personnel in the preparation, tracking, and reconciliation of budget and financial data.
  • Assist with business processes such as procurement tracking, invoice coordination, and documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Utilize and maintain familiarity with ONR systems.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in all administrative and financial activities.
