The Program Administrator in the Field Operations Division of the Honolulu Board of Water Supply is responsible for directing and administering all programs related to the division's operations. This role ensures the effective maintenance and repair of the water distribution infrastructure, including pipelines, valves, hydrants, and water meters. The administrator will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve the division's goals and objectives, while also promoting efficiency through innovative practices and technologies.

  • Direct and administer all programs within the Field Operations Division.
  • Determine division and program priorities to align with BWS vision and mission.
  • Oversee the effective utilization of budgetary, material, and human resources.
  • Collaborate with other divisions, agencies, and contractors to maintain effective partnerships.
  • Evaluate program deliverables and service quality through reports and statistical data.
  • Conduct analytical studies to improve the water distribution system's cost, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Research and implement innovative programs and best practices in the water industry.
  • Staff the Departmental Operations Center during emergencies and coordinate repairs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Four years of administrative experience in the design, construction, installation, or maintenance of major facilities or systems.
  • Experience in a managerial/administrative position comparable to branch chief level or higher.
  • Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional engineer.
