The School of Engineering Medicine at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full time 11-month academic professional track (non-tenure), faculty position at the Professor of the Practice level. The candidate will play a central role in advancing EnMed's mission to train a distinct class of medical professionals with expertise in both medicine and engineering, equipped to design innovative, practical, and impactful solutions to revolutionize healthcare. This position focuses on teaching and mentoring in the area of needs-driven innovation, guiding students, faculty, and other stakeholders through structured frameworks for identifying, developing, and implementing impactful solutions to healthcare challenges. Anticipated start date in Fall of 2025/Spring 2026. The Professor of the Practice will organize and deliver lectures, facilitate interactive workshops, support innovation projects, and manage activities designed to cultivate skills in problem identification, solution development, and real-world translation. The role includes advising students and faculty, fostering collaboration across disciplines, and ensuring that EnMed's innovation curriculum is tightly aligned with the program's overall educational and strategic goals.
