The Educational Leadership (EDLE) Program in the Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Research Methods in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas seeks a dynamic, innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic colleague who will work with current faculty members in the preparation of K-12 leaders in the three graduate degree programs (i.e., school-level leadership master's, district-level leadership educational specialist, and doctorate in educational leadership). The program seeks applicants who have extensive experience as educational leaders at both the building and district levels. In addition, a successful applicant will have knowledge and skills related to connecting practice to teaching and scholarship. Applicants will be expected to hold a significant doctoral advisory load and serve as chair of doctoral-level dissertation committees. All three graduate degree programs are offered synchronously online. While the courses are offered online, a consistent campus presence is expected to fulfill the other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities include collaborating with faculty in the design and implementation of curriculum, a significant amount of chairing and serving on student dissertation committees, contributing to major program initiatives (e.g., student recruitment, admissions, and assessment), and working with colleagues to build and sustain professional partnerships with schools and districts throughout Arkansas. Additionally, the Professor of Practice will collaborate with faculty to assist in program coordination. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
