About The Position

The primary purpose of the Social Worker and Youth Connection Tutor is to support high school students experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness who are enrolled in a credit recovery, acceleration and/or a self-pacing course by providing needed resources, scheduling direct tutoring, transportation, and social, emotional assistance to complete the course and earn the credit(s) needed for graduation or promotion. Grade Levels: Current 9th to 11th Grades Program Dates/Instructional Times: June 8 - June 26, 2026 (15 days) 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, required - $20.00/hour or Bachelor's Degree, required & valid Texas Teaching Certificate - $25.00/hour
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidential information/records

Nice To Haves

• Experience in tutoring and/or one to one small group instruction
