About The Position

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Professional Staff Nurse, OP to join their OB/GYN Associates of Pittsburgh office at Magee Women's Hospital! The Professional Staff Nurse plays an important role as a member of the care delivery team. This position will support clinical staff and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. This position will work 4 10-hour shifts. Hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, daylight hours, with no evenings, weekends or holidays! This position will also provide the opportunity for hybrid, work from home after completion of training. Previous OB/GYN nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months experience preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards.
  • Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within SIX MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation.

  • Triages patient situations and coordinates care with physician.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking in the identification of clinical, social, safety, psychological and spiritual issues for the patient care.
  • Practices solid communication skills, and is able to articulate and translate the patient's condition to other care providers.
  • Demonstrates accountability for professional development that improves the quality of professional practice and the quality of patient care.
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally.
