About The Position

Join Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Team at UPMC! UPMC is hiring a Professional Staff Nurse (RN) for our Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in Hanover. This is a part-time position, working 48 hours per pay period across three 8-hour shifts per week. Shift times vary between 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM and 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. There are no weekend or holiday requirements. We're looking for an experienced and compassionate RN to care for outpatient cardiac patients recovering from events such as heart attack, open-heart surgery, cardiac stenting, and heart failure. Patients typically remain in our program for 2-3 months, allowing staff to build strong relationships and see the impact of their care over time. Nurses in this role work closely with fellow RNs to guide patients through exercise and education that supports their recovery. Requirements

  • Minimum six months experience preferred.
  • Cardiac experience highly preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within SIX MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • UPMC approved national certification preferred.
