About The Position

UPMC is hiring a Professional Staff Nurse (RN) for our Corporate Call Center! This is a full time, evenings/nights position working primarily between the hours of 3p and 7:30a with an every 3rd weekend requirement. The RN, Nurse Triage is an important member of the care team who functions primarily within a centralized call center. He or she provides nurse advice, nursing assessment, care follow up and care coordination to UPMC customers via telephone interaction. Utilizing computer based algorithms, protocols or guidelines, the RN, Nurse Triage will assess and plan patient care, implement interventions and evaluate outcomes. The Call Center RN provides an integral level of customer service to the patient, connecting the patient and the provider during office hours. Serving as a trusted resource for each patient, the RN can interpret provider instruction and provide patient education in the Centralized Call Center.
