About The Position

Forescout has an excellent opportunity for a strategic Professional Services Engineer (PSE) to join our high-energy, multi-cultural, world-changing team. A Forescout Professional Services Engineer (PSE) provides technical and consultative services to assigned accounts to drive the adoption and maturation of the customers’ Forescout deployments. The PSE must be able to solve technical and process challenges to ensure customer success. The PSE must also understand the customer environment (people, process and technology) and how the Forescout deployment supports the customer goals and use cases. The PSE role is to ensure solution success, customer satisfaction and account renewal/expansion.

Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain a 'Top Secret' Security clearance.
  • Live within 45 minutes of a major regional airport (US based).
  • Able to travel up to approximately 40% of the time.
  • Experience in US federal government environments including knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies and procedures.
  • Able to clearly and effectively discuss and present program objectives, managerial tasks, and technical information verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with network hardware configuration.
  • Linux O/S installation, security configuration, and management.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows based operating systems and Unix systems, specifically Linux.
  • Experience installing, managing, and supporting production network and computer security systems.
  • Strong experience in network troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Virtualization environments for both desktop and server deployments.
  • Experience deploying and/or supporting enterprise security software products.
  • Expertise deploying large scale enterprise deployments/data centers.
  • Working knowledge of Shell, Perl and xml scripting a plus.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Forescout solutions.
  • Experience implementing complicated software products that involve multiple components.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of technical professional services experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Able to constructively handle and address customer concerns through explanation or management escalation.
  • Ability to clearly document complicated steps and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of industry security standards, procedures and technologies.
  • Excellent communications skills, strong customer orientation, good organizational skills, self-driven with ability to multi-task on various projects and aptitude to learn new technologies.
  • A self-motivated individual with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to work independently in a mix of workplace environments including large enterprise, commercial, and military/government agency customers.

Responsibilities

  • Understand US Federal customers use cases and requirements to optimize the delivery of the Forescout solution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key US Federal customers, gathering feedback and insights to drive the Forescout deployment.
  • Ensure that network and operational technology security products comply with relevant US Federal standards and security best practices.
  • Customer consultation to determine outcomes, success criteria and challenges/gaps.
  • Develop and implement plan-of-action to close gaps and drive successful outcomes.
  • Administer and mature customer enterprise deployment of the Forescout solution.
  • Interface with Forescout Support and/or R&D to resolve technical issues that may impede success.
  • Define and create policies in accordance with customer’s business requirements.
  • Manage equipment installation and configuration at all locations, including lab environments.
  • Manage Forescout software and hardware upgrades.
  • Manage the Forescout solution in accordance with the customer’s business goals.
  • Create customer reports to achieve project alignment and unity of effort.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, intellectual property, and training material.
