About The Position

The Professional Research Assistant at the Renée Crown Wellness Institute will support the m.b.v. GLU program aimed at empowering middle and high school Black girls and femmes. This role involves facilitating research studies, coordinating program sessions, and engaging with community organizations to promote wellness and self-acceptance among participants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and possess strong organizational skills to manage various administrative and research-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a social science, preferably psychology or a related field.
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of the lived experiences of Black girls and women and misogynoir.
  • At least two years of relevant research experience or a combination of relevant research and administrative experience, including working with human subjects.
  • Fluency in oral and written English.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with computers and common programs (email, Zoom, online data tracking systems).
  • Proficient knowledge of statistics and ability to perform analyses in SPSS or R.
  • Experience working with REDCap.
  • Working knowledge of Denver, Boulder, and Aurora area schools (DPS, APS, BVSD).

Responsibilities

  • Work with investigators and study team to identify and complete administrative study activities, such as scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and purchasing necessary study materials.
  • Facilitate the m.b.v. GLU program in Boulder Valley School District and across the Denver Metro Area.
  • Contribute to research planning and study development, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of current research methods and relevant literature.
  • Support efforts to work within and manage the research and administrative policies and procedures for the University, including Institutional Review Board protocols and compliance reporting.
  • Interact with current and/or potential research participants for required research activities, such as participant recruitments, consents, screening, data collection, and exit interviews.
  • Support Project Manager to ensure the integrity of data collection and management systems by managing aspects of online data collection platforms.
  • Conduct ongoing real-time audits and monitoring of data quality to ensure research integrity of study measurement procedures and data collection.
  • Provide support for qualitative and quantitative data analyses, including managing raw data files and preparing datasets for analysis.
  • Work with investigators to contribute to the analysis and interpretation of study data as well as the preparation of study reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Train, supervise, and work with undergraduate student assistants or new study personnel.
  • Collaborate with project manager to support creation and management of project goals, timeline, and deliverables.
  • Engage in iterative curriculum revision process for m.b.v. program GLU and other programs within the m.b.v. ecosystem.
  • Participate in Institute-wide activities such as updating databases, communicating study-specific information, and attending meetings.
  • Manage social media for m.b.v. GLU.
