The Professional Nursing Clinical Coordinator is a designated member of faculty who works under the supervision of the Associate Dean of the Professional Nursing and designated Program Coordinators and is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the philosophy and objectives specific to the clinical requirements of the programs (Day BSN & EW AAS Programs). Responsible for planning and organizing nursing clinical experiences, including clinical sites and facilities, faculty and preceptor orientation, and preceptor assignments. Assists faculty in creating high quality clinical experiences for nursing students by serving as a liaison between faculty and clinical agencies. The Professional Nursing Clinical Coordinator actively engages in scholarly pursuits to enhance metaprofessional skills and support learning in the areas of educational theory, instructional design and delivery, assessment, and systematic evaluation relative to both residential and distance education methods. Each member of the faculty shall maintain professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing. The faculty member participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of RHS and RCHS and performs other duties as assigned. As a member of the faculty with Clinical Coordinator responsibilities, this individual has a limited teaching workload per semester (didactic/clinical/lab) in order to complete specific clinical-related assignments and responsibilities to include but not limited to clinical remediation plans, curriculum assessment, and orientation of new faculty to the program's clinical sites and requirements. This position is not eligible for workload overload compensation. Essential functions are fundamental job duties, knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to perform the position.
