  • Coordinate across design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of program goals.
  • Direct technical planning, material selection, and performance validation for both prototype and full-scale production.
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of SOPs, fabrication work orders, CAD models, shop drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Monitor procurement, vendor performance, inventory levels, and corrective actions across the supply chain.
  • Manage technical documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards, ASME Y14, and applicable contract requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers, supervisors, and technicians while serving as a liaison between leadership and functional departments.
  • Provide engineering expertise in materials behavior, physics, and manufacturability for textile, composite, and metallic components.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and technical insights to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support business development by advising leadership on capabilities, talent gaps, and process optimizations.
  • Uphold and enforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all production activities.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering manufacturing, or product development.
  • 5+ years in engineering project leadership or production program oversight.
  • Deep understanding of fabrication methods for metals, composites, and advanced textiles.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD-based workflows (3D modeling, simulations, and complex technical drawings).
  • Mastery in technical standards (GD&T, ASME Y14), material specifications, and quality control processes.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and vendor coordination.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and supervising shop-floor operations in an active manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a government background check.
