About The Position
Roxbury Community College is seeking a Professional English/Writing Tutor to assist students in reviewing and learning subject material for all English and Humanities classes. The tutor will support students in developing good study habits and strategies, enhance their English reading, writing, and speaking skills across the curriculum, and provide grammar and writing support for English Speakers of Other Languages. The role involves interfacing with developmental English classes, guiding students in paper writing, monitoring student progress, and maintaining documentation of tutoring sessions. The tutor will also communicate regularly with staff, faculty, and students, attend training sessions, and meet with the supervisor for feedback. This position is part of the MCCC unit and reports to the Coordinator of Learning Resources.
