About The Position

Gessner Engineering, LLC has an opening for the position of Professional Engineer - Civil (Ref# PEC114CZ).   Work Location:  4455 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Suite 205, Fort Worth, TX 76107.   Position requires up to 10% travel (mostly local travel; occasionally to other cities within Texas).   Job Duties:  Contribute to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects of varying sizes and scopes.  Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for delegated tasks.  Serve as primary design engineer and project lead for projects congruent with experience.   Establish the initial design direction.   Create schematic design layouts.   Communicate and coordinate between clients, design teams, consultants, and augmentation partners for the successful completion of projects within established parameters (budget, deadlines, etc.).  Perform construction administration tasks (reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information, etc.).  Provide technical support, guidance, and coaching for junior staff.  Perform additional responsibilities that align with departmental and organizational objectives, as assigned.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Environmental Engineer, Engineering Intern, or related experience.
  • Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience in lieu of the required education and experience.
  • Texas Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors (TBPELS) Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein.
  • 40hrs/week.
