About The Position

The St. Louis, MO office of Modjeski and Masters is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 5 years of Bridge Design Experience and experience with IDOT or MoDOT projects. As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of related bridge design experience
  • Valid Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • Experience with IDOT or MoDOT Projects required
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Review and check structural design calculations.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using analysis software.
  • Provide information for design reports.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
  • Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
  • Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
  • Review and check drawings.
  • Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
  • Correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
