Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural/bridge design engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., LEAP Bridge, MIDAS, STAAD, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and state DOT standards.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering PS&E packages for bridge projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with complex bridge projects, including steel and prestressed concrete structures.
  • Familiarity with design-build project delivery.
  • Prior consulting experience managing municipal or state DOT projects.
  • Experience mentoring staff and leading technical teams.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of bridge design projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.
  • Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for bridges and related transportation structures in accordance with AASHTO and state DOT standards.
  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for bridge projects.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and support office growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies.
  • Participate in project scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC reviews.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts in Arizona and surrounding regions.
  • Engage in professional associations and industry events to elevate Consor’s visibility.
