About The Position

The Bird Camp is a hunting ranch in Llano County dedicated to bird hunting, running great dogs, and making memories that will last a lifetime. We are currently seeking a skilled, patient trainer dedicated to developing exceptional working dogs. If you’re passionate, patient, and skilled in developing high-drive working dogs, steady in the field with a flawless retrieve, we want to meet you.

Requirements

• Experience training hunting dogs, retrievers, or other working breeds
• Strong communication and client-instruction skills
• Calm, confident dog-handling style
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• A true passion for canine behavior and continued learning

Responsibilities

• Train sporting and working dogs in obedience, steadiness, marking, and retrieval
• Work hands-on in the field, wetlands, and controlled training environments
• Build customized training plans for dogs of all experience levels
• Coach owners ​on best practices to support consistent at-home routines and ​reinforcement
• Maintain a positive, safe, and motivating atmosphere for both dogs and clients
