A Professional CDL Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to and from various locations with our River Valley Cooperative fleet. This positions main responsibility will be transporting feed from the Feed Mill to customers. What You'll Do: Operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer or tanker truck, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Load and unload goods and materials using appropriate equipment and techniques. Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in proper working order and report any mechanical issues or damages Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concerns Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to vehicle maintenance, hours of service, and cargo securement Keep abreast of industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and safe operation Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times Attend cooperative meetings and work to improve personal skills and knowledge Note: This job description is not intended to be exhaustive.
