About The Position

The Full-time Professional CAAS Advisor and Success Coach at NCSSM is responsible for providing exemplary academic advising and support to ensure student success. This role involves monitoring, advising, and coaching both online and residential students, while also collaborating with various departments to enhance the academic experience. The position requires flexible hours, including some evening work, and offers the option for remote work.

Requirements

• Highly-motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask while paying special attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with Academic Departments, Counseling, and the Registrar's Office in managing all aspects of advising.
• Knowledge of Google Suite, student information systems, database administration, and internet/email platforms.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal and organizational relationships with all stakeholders (faculty, staff, students, and families).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, ongoing, and real-time academic support and guidance for all students.
• Offer guidance and advice on course choices and placement.
• Conduct academic consultations for students.
• Develop and manage academic support plans.
• Communicate directly with student support teams.
• Collaborate with Counseling on academic support initiatives.
• Provide administrative support for Enrollment Services/Registrar.
• Assist with student success programming.
• Support Academic Programs and Admissions during events such as Discovery Day, Welcome Day, and Commencement ceremonies.
• Assist the Registrar's office with Junior meetings and Senior audits.
