Locate and remove parts from vehicles in the yard in a safe manner. Essential Job Duties THIS WILL ESSENTIALLY BE A UTILITY POSITION OR "FLOAT". APPLICANT MUST BE WILLING TO LEARN MULTIPLE ROLES AND SWITCH GEARS THROUGHOUT THE DAY Self Service Essential Job Duties: Clean out debris from cars before they go into the processing area. Pull out batteries to be tested to be resold. Bring charged batteries to the retail area. Work with the Loader Operator to properly stage or pull cars in the yard. Walk the yard and place debris in the cars being removed from the yard. Dismantle tires. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure all EPA and OSHA regulations are being met. Wear all required PPE. Remove all fluids, lubricants and components (ie: converters) as required safely and efficiently, and prep the car for setting on yard. Record information on cars set accurately and in a timely manner. Appropriate paperwork filled out as required. Position works closely with the loader operator to maximize processing. All containers of parts must be stored in a secure area each night. Operator responsible for making sure all appropriate tools are stored securely at shift end. Work with gasoline is potentially hazardous, and every effort must be taken to prevent sparking and flame sources. Slip and trip hazards must be cleaned up immediately to prevent injury. Dismantle and remove hybrid batteries, catalytic converters, airbags and other parts efficiently from vehicles in a safety conscious manner. Stage high value cores/parts for vendor or customer pickups. Respond to customer counter sales by receiving order, pulling product and taking to sales counter. May be required to operate forklift and load trucks. Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas. Must meet productivity guidelines. May be required to use hand held or similar device to enter information and generate reports. Could operate a forklift or loader to assist in moving cars from the process to the yard. Comply with established company policies and procedures. Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements

0+ years of experience required.
Full Service: 0+ years of warehouse-related experience, supplemented by on-the-job training, to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods, to become familiar with the company's products, locations, machines and equipment, operating methods, and to attain proficiency requirements and to fully assume responsibilities of the job.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic computer skills.
Basic messages communicated orally.
May write brief messages and keep simple records.
Problems encountered are simple, repetitive and generally solved by clear directions and procedures.
Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.
Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.
Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma/GED
Forklift certification beneficial.
Prior automotive knowledge or experience.
